Retrofit Project Goals:

The goal for this retrofit was to reduce energy bills whilst contributing to sustainability.

This conscious working family had concerns about the environment and wanted to do their bit to help.

Retrofit Project Summary:

Una approached us with a terrace house that was difficult and costly to keep warm. After an initial assessment, we identified key improvements that could be undertaken including installing high-performance wall insulation and upgrading to a more efficient heating system.

The main factors affecting her energy bills and BER rating were poor insulation, inefficient windows and doors, and an outdated heating system.

The approximate cost of the home energy upgrade was €5,219, and we helped the homeowner access €850 in grants and funding to support the retrofit.

  • Access to €850 in grants and funding for the home energy upgrade
  • The initial BER Rating of C3 has now been improved to C2
