About Kieran Cunnane

Warm Home Hub Manager

Kieran Cunnane, B.Eng., brings over 20 years of experience as an Energy and Technology Consultant. As a founding member of the Galway Energy Co-Operative, Kieran is deeply committed to enhancing both local and national energy and environmental sustainability.

He is passionate about driving change through Community Renewable Energy Projects, innovative solutions, and retrofit support via the Warm Home Hub. His extensive background includes energy consulting, performing BER assessments, air tightness testing, and analysing heating systems for a Community Housing Project.

Kieran was involved in Transition Galway (as part of a global network of communities interested in sustainability projects). His involvement in setting up a School Transition Garden, Green Drinks, Film Screenings as well as helping develop a 2030 Sustainability Vision for Galway.

Kieran also participated in the Energy Transition Partner City project (funded by the German Federal Office) partnering with Pfaffenhofen in Bavaria. He has also worked on an EU Interreg-funded Project called STEPS, focused on the commercialisation of mid-scale eStorage in Northwestern Europe.

Outside of his professional endeavours, Kieran enjoys playing music and staying active through various sports.
