About Sandra Riordan
Community Energy OfficerSandra Riordan, PhD, has a diverse educational background, holding a PhD in Chemistry and certificates in Quality and Chemical Engineering and Sustainable Energy.
With 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Sandra has gained wide experience and expertise in research and development, scale-up, formulation, and validation.
Her passion for science and engineering extends beyond the lab, as she has also hosted engaging science extravaganzas, and organised numerous events supporting Women in Tech and Science.
Sandra is deeply committed to environmental stewardship and community-driven initiatives. Her interest in innovative building techniques, including contemporary and alternative methods, has led her to contribute to the Net Zero Cities project with the Warm Home Hub.
In this role, she is dedicated to advancing decarbonisation efforts and empowering communities to be creative and resourceful in energy creation and usage. Sandra is eager to make a meaningful impact in protecting the environment.
She is passionate about supporting sustainable energy solutions and fostering the future of energy sharing, democratisation, and sustainability within communities.
Meitheal Work days are one of Sandra’s favourite activities, having fun with friends while working together on creative environmental projects.
